MI made a couple of changes to their playing eleven – Dominic Thornely
and Pinal Shah made way for Dwayne Bravo and Twenty20 debutant Vikrant
Yeligati.
On winning the toss, Harbhajan Singh, MI’s skipper, chose to field.
The first Powerplay of CSK’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay
– was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 53, and lost a couple
of wickets.
Parthiv, whose (Pat)eleven-ball innings included three boundaries,
scored 14. Nineteen balls into the match, he was caught by Luke Ronchi. Ashish
Nehra broke the 34-run stand.
Michael Hussey, whose nine-ball innings included a boundary, scored
