Rahul Dravid, Dillon du Preez and Vinay Kumar.
On winning the toss, Sachin Tendulkar, MI’s skipper,
chose to bat.

of boundaries, scored 11. Twenty-one balls into the match, he was caught by
Dravid. Du Preez broke the run-a-ball stand.
The second-wicket pair failed to get off the mark.
Ajinkya Rahane, who faced a ball, didn’t open his account. The next ball, he
was caught by Robin Uthappa off the bowling of Du Preez.
Jean-Paul Duminy, who faced half-a-dozen balls, scored
just a run. Ten balls later, he was caught by Mark Boucher. Du Preez broke the

was a dozen. Extras didn’t contribute to the partnership.
Jayasuriya’s half-century – which included half-a-dozen
boundaries and a six – came off 39 balls.
He eventually scored 52 off 43 balls. Fifty-three

four boundaries.

149 for the loss of four wickets off 20 overs.
