The first Powerplay of KKR’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay
– was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 28, and lost a wicket.
Chris Gayle, whose run-a-ball innings included three boundaries, scored
17. Twenty-eight balls into the match, he was caught by Yuvraj Singh, KXIP’s
skipper. Yusuf Abdulla broke the 23-run stand.
KKR scored 50 off 9.4 overs (58 balls). KXIP had
conceded a couple of extras at that point.
Ten overs into the match, KKR had scored 52 for the loss of a wicket at
that point. While McCullum was batting on 17, Brad Hodge was batting on 16.
McCullum, whose 31-ball innings included a boundary, scored 19.

Irfan Pathan and Malik bowled four wicketless overs apiece. While the
former conceded 37, the latter conceded 23.
Abdulla, who bowled four overs, conceded 33. He picked up a wicket.

Gayle and Murali Kartik bowled three wicketless overs each. Both
conceded 20 apiece.
Hodge bowled a couple of overs, conceding 13. He picked up a wicket, as
did Agarkar, who bowled four overs, conceding 29.
Sharma bowled four overs, conceding 27. He picked up a couple of scalps.
