KXIP made one (Pomersba)change to their playing (Micha)eleven – Luke made way for Neser.
RCB made a couple of changes to their playing eleven – Lokesh Rahul and Muttiah
Muralitharan made way for Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravi Rampaul.
On winning the toss, David Hussey, KIXP’s skipper, chose to field.
The first Powerplay of RCB’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay
– was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 58, without the loss of
a wicket.
RCB’s openers scored 50 off 5.4 overs (34 balls). KXIP had conceded an
extra at that point. While Pujara’s contribution to the partnership was 21,
Chris Gayle’s contribution to it was 31.

couple of sixes – came off 27 balls.

balls.
He eventually scored 51 off 48 balls. Twenty-three balls after Gayle’s
