Post-tie, Sangakkara-led SRH beat Bangalore

SRH (Shar)made one change to their playing eleven – Dwaraka Ravi Teja made way for Ankit.

RCB made one change to their playing (Dani)eleven – Christian made way for Moises Henriques.

On winning the toss, Virat Kohli, RCB’s skipper, chose to bat.

The first Powerplay of RCB’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 40, and lost a couple of wickets.

Chris Gayle, who faced a couple of balls, scored a run. Seven balls into the match, he was caught by Parthiv Patel. Vihari, the player of the (Hanu)match, broke the eight-run stand.

Tillakaratne Dilshan, faced nine balls, scored five. Fifteen balls later, Ishant Sharma broke the 14-run stand.

Nair, who faced nine balls, scored as many. Twenty-one balls later, he was trapped leg before wicket by Amit Mishra, who broke the 20-(Ka)run stand.

RCB scored 50 off 9.2 overs (56 balls). The number of extras they had conceded at that point gave SRH no reason to be in seventh heaven.

Kohli, whose 44-ball innings included five boundaries and a six, scored 46. Forty-one balls after Nair’s dismissal, he was caught by Ashish Reddy, who broke the 43-run stand.

RCB scored 100 off 16.2 overs (98 balls). The number of extras they had conceded at that point gave SRH no reason to be in seventh heaven.

Mayank Agarwal, who faced eight balls, had no reason to be in seventh heaven – three overs after Kohli’s dismissal, he was caught by Ankit. Dale Steyn broke the 23-run stand.

Karthik, who faced a ball, didn’t get off the mark. An over later, he was caught by Ashish Reddy. Thisara Perera broke the (A)run-a-ball stand.

Henriques, whose 40-ball innings included five boundaries, scored 44. Seven balls later, he was caught by Cameron White. Ishant broke the 11-run stand.

Although his four-ball innings included a boundary, Vinay Kumar had a reason to be in seventh heaven – a couple of balls later, he was caught by Kumar Sangakkara, SRH’s skipper. Ishant broke the two-run stand.

Murali Kartik, who faced a couple of balls, scored as many. He was unbeaten, as was Jaydev Unadkat, who faced a ball, scoring a run.

SRH eventually conceded eight extras. RCB scored 130 for the loss of eight wickets off 20 overs.

Ankit, who bowled a couple of wicketless overs, conceded 17.

Ashish and Vihari bowled an over each, picking up a wicket apiece. While the former had no reason to be in seventh heaven, the latter conceded five.

Steyn, Perera and Mishra bowled four overs each, picking up a wicket apiece. They conceded 37, 21, and 15, respectively.

Ishant, who bowled four overs, conceded 27. He picked up three scalps.

Vihari, whose 46-ball innings included a couple of boundaries, scored 44. He was unbeaten.

Akshath Reddy, whose 21-ball innings included a couple of boundaries, scored 23. Twenty-nine balls later, Muralitharan broke the 28-run stand.

SRH scored 50 off 8.3 overs (51 balls). RCB had conceded 10 extras at that point.

Sangakkara, whose 17-ball innings included a boundary, scored 16. Thirty-two balls after Akshath’s dismissal, he was caught by Arun. Unadkat broke the 33-run stand.

Perera, whose eight-ball innings included a boundary, had no reason to be in seventh heaven – 13 balls later, he was caught by Henriques. Unadkat broke the 17-run stand.

SRH scored 100 off 16.1 overs (97 balls). RCB had conceded 15 extras at that point.

The sixth-wicket pair put on three. Mishra didn’t face a ball. A couple of balls after Perera’s dismissal, Vinay and Arun ran him out.

Ashish, whose 12-ball innings included a boundary, scored 14. Eighteen balls later, he was caught by Kohli. Vinay broke the 23-run stand.

Steyn, who faced three balls, scored as many. He was unbeaten.

RCB eventually conceded 16 extras. SRH scored 130 for the loss of seven wickets off 20 overs.

Dilshan, who bowled an over, conceded 10. He was wicketless, as was Kartik, who bowled four overs, conceding 27.

Vinay and Muralitharan bowled four overs each, picking up a wicket apiece. While the former conceded 27, the latter conceded 18.

Henriques, who bowled three overs, conceded 14. He picked up a couple of scalps, as did Unadkat, who bowled four overs, conceding 24.

The match ended in a tie, and was decided by a Super Over.

SRH scored 20 without the loss of a wicket off the over bowled by Vinay, who conceded a no-ball.

While Perera, who faced a couple of balls, scored as many, White scored 17 off five balls, which included a couple of sixes.

RCB scored 15 without the loss of a wicket off the over bowled by Steyn.

Gayle, whose four-ball innings included a six, was unbea‘ten’.

Kohli, whose two-ball innings included a boundary, scored five. He was unbeaten.

Therefore, SRH won the one-over Eliminator.
