The first Powerplay of DD’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay
– was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 37, and lost a wicket.
Mahela Jayawardene, DD’s skipper, scored a dozen off 17 balls, which
included a couple of boundaries. Twenty-five balls into the match, he was
caught by Luke Wright. Ashok Dinda broke the 20-run stand.
DD scored 50 off 7.1 overs (43 balls). PWI had conceded 10 extras at
that point.
Virender Sehwag, whose 26-ball (Rob)innings included a couple of
boundaries and as many sixes, scored 28. Thirty-five balls after Jayawardene’s
dismissal, he was caught by Uthappa. Dinda broke the 48-run stand.
The third-wicket pair didn’t get off the mark. Chand, whose 19-ball
innings included a couple of boundaries, scored 17. A couple of balls later, he
was caught by Uthappa off the bowling of Rahul.
Rohrer, whose run-a-ball innings included a boundary, scored 13.
Twenty-one balls later, he was caught by Uthappa. Nayar broke the 28-run stand.

David Warner, the player of the match, scored 50 off 24 balls, which

contribution to the partnership was 36, Kedar Jadhav’s contribution to it was 17.

Irfan and Umesh bowled four overs each, picking up a couple of scalps
apiece. While the former, whose spell including a maiden, conceded 29, the
latter conceded 24.
