The first Powerplay of SRH’s innings
– which was the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the sixth over.
They scored 27, and lost a couple of wickets.
Parthiv Patel, who faced three balls,
scored a run. An over into the match, he was caught by Sanju Samson. Malik
broke the two-run stand.
Hanuma Vihari, who faced eight balls,
scored a run. Nine balls later, he was caught by Kevon Cooper. Malik broke the
one-man stand.
SRH scored 50 off 10.4 overs (64
balls). RR had conceded a couple of extras at that point.
The third-wicket pair put on 50 off
as many balls. While Shikhar Dhawan’s contribution to the partnership was 19,
White’s contribution to it was 31. Extras’ contribution to the partnership was
a couple.
White, whose 28-ball innings included
five boundaries, didn’t add to the aforementioned score. Fifty-seven balls
after Vihari’s (Trive)dismissal, he was caught by Cooper. Siddharth broke the
52-run partnership.
Shikhar, whose 39-ball innings

Daren Sammy, whose 21-ball innings included three sixes, scored 29. Ten balls
after Shikhar’s dismissal, the substitute, Rahul Shukla, and Yagnik ran him

Thisara Perera whose six-ball
innings included a boundary and a six, scored 11. Four balls later, he was
caught by Yagnik. Watson broke the two-run stand.
The seventh-wicket pair put on 14.
Biplab Samantray, whose 11-ball innings included a couple of boundaries, scored
14. Nine balls later, Ajinkya Rahane and Faulkner ran him out.
Karn Sharma, who faced a couple of
balls, scored as many. He was unbeaten, as was Dale Steyn, who faced a couple

Stuart Binny, who bowled an over,

Rahane, whose 20-ball innings
included a six, scored 18. Four balls later, he was caught by Amit Mishra, who
broke the two-run stand.
Binny, who faced half-a-dozen balls,
scored a couple. Ten balls later, Sammy broke the two-run stand.
RR scored 100 off 15.1 overs (91
balls). SRH hadn’t conceded any extras at that point.
Samson, who faced 21 balls, scored
10. Thirty-five balls after Binny’s dismissal, he was trapped leg before wicket
by Steyn, who broke the 43-run stand.
Brad Hodge, the player of the match,
scored 54 off 29 balls, which included a couple of boundaries and five sixes.
He was unbeaten, as was Faulkner, who scored 11. His run-a-ball innings
included a couple of boundaries.
SRH eventually conceded four extras.
