RCB made a couple of changes to their playing (Mork)eleven – Yogesh Takawale and Albie made way for Rilee Rossouw and Harshal Patel.
SRH (Shar)made one change to their
playing eleven – Amit Mishra made way for Ishant.
On winning the toss, Virat Kohli,
RCB’s skipper, chose to field.
The first Powerplay of SRH’s innings
– which was the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the sixth over.
They scored 47, and lost a couple of wickets.
Aaron Finch, whose eight-ball innings
included a boundary and a six, scored 13. Eighteen balls into the match, he was
caught by Parthiv Patel. Mitchell Starc broke the 20-run stand.
Lokesh Rahul, whose run-a-ball
innings included a boundary, scored half-a-dozen. Seven balls later, he was
caught by Chris Gayle. Ashok Dinda broke the nine-run stand.
SRH scored 50 off 6.3 overs (40
balls). RCB had conceded three extras at that point.
The third-wicket pair put on 50 off
40 balls. While the contributions of both Shikhar Dhawan, SRH’s skipper, and
David Warner to the partnership were 23 apiece, extras’ contribution to it was
four.
Shikhar, whose 36-ball innings
included four boundaries, eventually scored 37. Nine overs after Rahul’s
dismissal, he was caught by A B de Villiers, the player of the match. Aaron
broke the 62-(Va)run partnership.
SRH scored 100 off 14.2 overs (87
balls). RCB had conceded four extras at that point.
Daren Sammy, whose run-a-ball innings
included a six, scored eight. Three overs after Shikhar’s dismissal, he was
caught by Starc. Harshal broke the 24-run stand.
Warner’s half-century – which
included four boundaries and a couple of sixes – came off 43 balls.
Naman Ojha, whose 11-ball innings
included a boundary and a six, scored 15. Three overs after Sammy’s dismissal,
he was caught by Starc. Aaron broke the 34-run stand.
SRH scored 150 off 19.1 overs (116
balls). RCB had conceded 10 extras at that point. That was, incidentally, the
number of extras they eventually conceded.
Warner, whose 49-ball innings
included four boundaries and three sixes, eventually scored 61. Four balls
after Naman’s dismissal, Starc broke the one-run stand.
Irfan Pathan, who faced a couple of
balls, scored four. His runs came by way of a boundary. He was unbeaten, as was
Karn Sharma, who faced a ball, scoring a run.
SRH scored 155 for the loss of
half-a-dozen wickets off 20 overs.
Each of the five bowlers bowled four
overs apiece.
Yuzvendra Chahal, who conceded 30,
was wicketless.
Dinda and Harshal picked up a wicket
apiece. While the former conceded 39, the latter conceded 29.
Aaron and Starc picked up a couple of
scalps apiece. While the former conceded 33, the latter conceded 21.

was caught by Sammy. Karn broke the 32-run stand.

balls). SRH had conceded three extras at that point.
Rossouw, whose 23-ball innings
included a boundary, scored 14. Twenty-one balls after Gayle’s dismissal, Karn
broke the run-a-ball stand.
Yuvraj Singh, whose 16-ball innings
included a boundary and a six, scored 14. He was caught by the substitute,
Moises Henriques. Karn broke the 36-run stand.
RCB scored 100 off 15.1 overs (91
balls). SRH had conceded four extras at that point.
De Villiers’ half-century – which
included a couple of boundaries and five sixes – came off 23 balls.
The sixth-wicket pair put on 50 off
26 balls. While the contribution of de Villiers to the partnership was 45, the
contribution of Starc to the partnership was five. Extras’ contribution to it
was a run.
De Villiers, whose 41-ball innings
included half-a-dozen boundaries and eight sixes, eventually scored 89. He was
unbeaten.
The sixth-wicket pair eventually put
on 57. Starc, who faced eight balls, did not add to the aforementioned score.
Twenty-eight balls after Yuvraj’s dismissal, Finch ran him out.

scored a run. He was unbeaten.
RCB, who scored 158 for the loss of

Irfan, who bowled seventeen
wicketless balls, conceded 25.
Ishant, who bowled three wicketless
overs, conceded 35.
Dale Steyn, who bowled four
wicketless overs, conceded 39.
Bhuvneshwar, who bowled four overs,
conceded 16. He picked up two wickets.
Karn, who bowled four overs, conceded
