Warne shines; RR beat Hyderabad

DC (Shar)made five changes to their playing eleven – Herschelle Gibbs, Mohnish Mishra, Tirumalasetti Suman, Rahul and Jaskaran Singh and made way for Anirudh Singh, Dwayne Smith, Azhar Bilakhia, and the Singhs (Rudra Pratap and Harmeet).

RR made three changes to their playing (Mork)eleven – Sumit Narwal, Shrikant Wagh and Shaun Tait made way for Morne, Twenty20 debutant Aditya Dole and Siddharth Trivedi.

On winning the toss, Shane Warne, RR’s skipper and the player of the match, chose to bat.

The first Powerplay of RR’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 48, and lost a couple of wickets.

Michael Lumb, whose 10-ball innings included a couple of boundaries and a six, scored 15. Thirteen balls into the match, he was caught by Ryan Harris. Rudra Pratap broke the 16-run stand.
