DD made a couple of changes to their playing eleven – Yogesh Nagar and Roelof van der Merwe made way for Ross Taylor and Pawan Negi.

KXIP made a couple of changes to their playing eleven – Siddharth Chitnis and Ryan Harris made way for David Miller and Harmeet Singh.

On winning the toss, David Hussey, KXIP’s skipper, chose to bat.
