CSK made no changes to their playing eleven.
On winning the toss, Gautam Gambhir, KKR’s skipper, chose to bat.
The first Powerplay of KKR’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay
– was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 47, and lost a wicket.
Gambhir, whose 19-ball innings included five boundaries, scored 25. Thirty-five
balls into the match, he was caught by Michael Hussey. Chris Morris broke the
46-run stand.
The second-wicket pair put on a run. Jacques Kallis didn’t face a ball.
A couple of balls, Subramaniam Badrinath ran him out.
KKR scored 50 off 7.2 overs (44 balls). CSK had conceded three extras at
that point.
Morgan had no reason to bE(o)in seventh heaven – he scored a couple.
Nine balls after Kallis’ dismissal, he was caught by Ravindra Jadeja, the

KKR eventually conceded half-a-dozen extras. CSK, who scored 124 for the
loss of half-a-dozen wickets off 19.1 overs, won by four wickets with five balls
to spare.
Bhatia bowled a couple of wicketless overs, conceding 12.
Yusuf bowled seven balls, conceding nine. He picked up a wicket, as did
Kallis, Balaji, Narine, and Senanayake, who bowled four overs apiece. They
conceded 32, 28, 20, and 18, respectively.
