Kaul made way for Ben Rohrer and Ashish Nehra.
On winning the toss, Virat Kohli, RCB’s skipper and the player of the
match, chose to field.
The first Powerplay of DD’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay
– was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 43, and lost a wicket.
David Warner, whose 13-ball innings included three boundaries, scored
15. Thirty-five balls into the match, he was caught by Vinay Kumar, who broke
the 43-run stand.
The second-wicket pair didn’t get off the mark. Virender Sehwag, whose
23-ball innings included four balls, scored 25. Three balls later, he was
caught by Kohli off the bowling of Andrew McDonald.
DD scored 50 off 7.1 overs (44 balls). RCB had conceded three extras at
that point.
Manprit Juneja, whose 16-ball innings included a couple of boundaries,
scored 17. Thirty balls after Sehwag’s dismissal, he was caught by Vinay Kumar.
