KXIP made nine changes to their playing eleven – Cheteshwar Pujara and Lakshmipathy Balaji made way for Mandeep Singh and Murali Kartik.
CSK made no changes to their playing eleven.
On winning the toss, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, CSK’s skipper,
chose to field.

mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 38,

of Glenn Maxwell, the player of the match, to the partnership was 24, David
Miller’s contribution to it was 27. Extras’ contribution to the partnership was

heaven.

conceded three extras at that point.
The fifth-wicket pair put on 50 off 39 balls. While Faf du
