RR (Shar)made three changes to their playing eleven – Ankit, Shane Watson, and Dishant Yagnik made way for Sanju Samson, Ben Cutting, and Dhawal Kulkarni.
DD made three changes to their
playing eleven – Murali Vijay, Quinton de Kock, and Mohammed Shami made way for
Manoj Tiwary, Ross Taylor, and Shahbaz Nadeem.
On winning the toss, Kevin Pietersen,
DD’s skipper, chose to field.
The first Powerplay of RR’s innings –
which was the mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the sixth over.

Nair, whose 14-ball innings included
a boundary and a six, scored 19. Thirty-three balls into the match, he was
trapped leg before wicket by Shahbaz Nadeem, who broke the 44- (Ka)run stand.

Kevon Cooper, whose 16-ball innings
included a couple of boundaries and three sixes, scored 32. Thirty balls after

The third-wicket pair put on 50 off
