SRH made no changes to their playing eleven.
MI made one changes to their playing eleven – Praveen Kumar made way for
Pragyan Ojha.
On winning the toss, Shikhar Dhawan, SRH’s skipper, chose to bat.
The first Powerplay of SRH’s innings -which was the
mandatory Powerplay – was between the first and the sixth over. They scored 43,
and lost a wicket.
Shikhar Dhawan, whose run-a-ball innings included a couple
of boundaries, scored 11. Five overs into the match, Malinga broke the (Lasi)thirty-one-run
stand.
The second-wicket pair put on 39. Lokesh Rahul, whose
13-ball innings included a boundary, scored 10. Twenty-nine balls later, Rohit
and Chidhambaram Gautam ran him out.
SRH scored 50 off 7.1 overs (43 balls). MI hadn’t conceded
any extras at that point.
Aaron Finch’s half-century – which included half-a-dozen boundaries
and a couple of sixes – came off 41 balls.
SRH scored 100 off 14.5 overs (89 balls). MI had conceded four
extras at that point.
The third-wicket pair put on 50 off 45 balls. While Finch’s
contribution to the partnership was 20, David Warner’s contribution to the

Finch, whose 62-ball innings included seven boundaries, in
addition to the aforementioned number of sixes, scored 68. Fifty-four balls
after Rahul’s dismissal, he was caught by Kieron Pollard. Malinga broke the

Warner’s half-century – which included five boundaries and

He eventually scored 55 off 31 balls, which included

was unbeaten, as Naman Ojha, who was not in seventh heaven, despite the fact
that his three-ball innings included a six.
SRH had conceded 157 for the loss of three wickets off 20

Pollard and Corey Anderson bowled a couple of wicketless
overs apiece. While the former conceded 21, the latter conceded 17.
Pragyan, Harbhajan Singh and Jasprit Bumrah bowled four wicketless

scored 14. He was unbeaten, as was Pollard, who had no reason to be in seventh
heaven – he scored half-a-dozen.
MI, who scored 160 for the loss of three wickets off 18.4
overs, won by seven wickets with eight wickets to spare.
Irfan Pathan, who bowled a couple of wicketless overs,
conceded 29.
Karn Sharma, who bowled 2.4 wicketless overs, conceded 29.
Amit Mishra, who bowled three wicketless overs, conceded 33.
Dale Steyn, who bowled four wicketless overs, conceded 29.
Henriques, who bowled three overs, conceded 23. He picked
up a wicket.
Bhuvneshwar, who bowled four overs, conceded 21. He picked
up a couple of scalps.
