CSK (Shar)made three changes to their playing eleven – Brendon McCullum, Ishwar Pandey, and Ben Hilfenhaus made way for David Hussey, Mohit, and Pawan Negi.

changes to their playing eleven.
On winning the
toss, Daren Sammy, SRH’s skipper, chose to field.
The first
Powerplay of CSK’s innings – which was the mandatory Powerplay – was the first
and the sixth over. They scored 60, and lost a wicket.
CSK’s openers put
on 33. Faf du Plessis, whose 11-ball innings included four boundaries, scored
19. Twenty-one balls into the match, Karn Sharma ran him out.
CSK scored 50 off 5.2 overs (32 balls). SRH hadn’t
conceded any extras at that point.
Dwayne, whose 28-ball innings included four boundaries and
as many sixes, scored 47. Twenty balls after du Plessis’ dismissal, he was

Suresh Raina had no reason to be in seventh heaven – he scored

Dale Steyn,

Naman, whose
18-ball innings included a six, didn’t add to the aforementioned score. Thirty-six
balls after Shikhar’s dismissal, he was caught by Negi. Raina broke the 52-run partnership.
Although his three-ball
innings included a six, Finch had no reason to be in seventh heaven – five balls
later, Raina and Negi ran him out.
Sammy, who faced
three balls, didn’t get off the mark. Seven balls later, he was caught by du
Plessis. Jadeja broke the eight-run stand.
Venugopal Rao, who
faced a ball scored four. He was unbeaten.
CSK eventually
conceded five extras. SRH, who scored 189 for the loss of four wickets off 19.4
overs, won by half-a-dozen wickets with a couple of balls to spare.
Mohit Sharma, who
bowled three overs, conceded 33. He was wicketless, as were Negi and
Ravichandran Ashwin, who bowled four overs apiece. While the former conceded
38, the latter conceded 29.
Raina bowled two
overs, conceding 17. He picked up a wicket.
Hastings bowled three
overs, conceding 29. He picked up a wicket.
Jadeja bowled 3.4
overs, conceding 42. He picked up a scalp.
